Genesis 5:1-32

Genesis 5:1-2
This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created.
“It is Jesus, the suffering servant, and Conquering King who directs kings hearts like rivers of water, and He is the head of the church. Those who love Him should cling to His Word.”
Let’s look at Paul’s words to the church in Ephesus:
Ephesians 3:1-13
For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you, how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.
When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
Genesis 5:3-6
When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died. When Seth had lived 105 years, he fathered Enosh.
Genesis 4:26
And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.
"They were calling on the name of Jehovah, but ultimately they were calling on Jesus the Son of God, because He was the One who walked amongst them in the garden in the cool of day, and provided a means of temporary atonement, or covering for sin by the shedding of blood. He clothed them in skins, and in doing so blood was shed for the covering of sin. He provided the means of atonement."
1 Peter 4:8-11
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Genesis 3:21
Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
"He can empower you to sit at His feet and heed His council. Be like Mary who gladly sat at His feet.”
Luke 10:38-42
Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. "Sit at Jesus' feet by heeding His Word, His council. Trust in Him. Worrying cannot add measure to your stature. He knows the number of the hairs on your head. Do not be so busy serving Him or others that you forget about Jesus, the Son of God. He is Eternal Life. If you have been born again, do not forsake your first love, Jesus the Messiah of Israel. There is Life in His Name."
Psalm 27:9
Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!
Psalm 37:28
For the LORD loves justice;
he will not forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
“Those who love Him are enthroned with Him in glory, seated with Him in heavenly places in Christ."
Ephesians 2:4-10
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
"And those who forsake Him will be eternally condemned in the lake of fire where the worm never dies and there is weeping and nashing of teeth. He is not willing that any should perish but wants all to come to repentance. He will preserve those who love Him, as salt preserves the righteous. He does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked."
"This is speaking of the name of Jesus."
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
Genesis 5:7-24
Seth lived after he fathered Enosh 807 years and had other sons and daughters.
Thus all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.
When Enosh had lived 90 years, he fathered Kenan.
Enosh lived after he fathered Kenan 815 years and had other sons and daughters.
Thus all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.
When Kenan had lived 70 years, he fathered Mahalalel.
Kenan lived after he fathered Mahalalel 840 years and had other sons and daughters.
Thus all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.
When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he fathered Jared.
Mahalalel lived after he fathered Jared 830 years and had other sons and daughters.
Thus all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.
When Jared had lived 162 years, he fathered Enoch.
Jared lived after he fathered Enoch 800 years and had other sons and daughters.
Thus all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.
When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah.
Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years.
Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.
Proverbs 13:19
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
“Enoch is exceedingly righteous, and by faith He entered into eternal glory and into the presence of the Lord Our Righteousness, Jesus the Son of God.
Jesus will be returning for His beloved who are His Spiritual body. Those who love Him and those whom He loves will have the Hope to enter in. He is coming to save His people from the wrath to come. Those who are alive and remain and are wise virgins (Matthew 25:13), will lovingly await His appearing and will be caught up to be with Him in the clouds, and we will forever be with Him. Do not quench, or grieve the Holy Spirit of promise, but be filled with the Spirit, and ask that the Lord would grant you wisdom to understand the signs of His coming. (Matthew 16:1-4)"
Hebrews 9:27-28
And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
"You can be comforted by these words. His words are much better than mine, there’s no One like Him.”
1 Thessalonians 4
Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.
But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.
But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
"This is when those who sleep in Jesus will be clothed with their heavenly bodies, that are like Jesus' resurrected glorified body. The 'dead in Christ will rise first' means that those that have died in Christ, or are 'asleep', will recieve their glorified ressurected bodies first. Mortality will put on immortality, meaning those who are His and already with Him in glory will return with Jesus in their spiritual bodies, and they will inherit their ressurected bodies first. Then we who are alive and remain will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, and we will put on our glorified bodies while being caught up with Him together in the clouds."
1st Corinthians 15:34-36
Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame. But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies.
Romans 6:1-14
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”
1st Corinthians 15:37-40
And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body. All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
"Remember, Jesus is the First Born of the Dead. He is the Alpha and the Omega without beginning of days or end of life. He is Eternal Life. The fullness of God dwells in Him in bodily form. There are human bodies, and there are resurrected, glorified bodies."
1st Corinthians 15:41-42a
There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead.
"Perhaps, the Lord will reward His saints with resurrected bodies varying in glory from one another."
1st Corinthians 15:42b-45
The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Genesis 1:26 (partial)
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness
"When a man with a similar nature to Adam is born, He is born into a body stained by corruption. When a man is reborn, He is crucified with Christ, burried with Him in death, and raised in power with Christ, and bearing a similar image to Christ the Heavenly Man. (See Romans 6:1-14 above) The first man Adam was given life by God. The last Adam is Jesus, the Christ, the only begotten Son of the Living God. He is also referred to as the second Adam, because He was born of a virgin and did not inherit the sin nature of Adam. Jesus said "I and the Father are One." He, in the same way as the Father, does not change like shifting shadows. His only begotten Son is without variance of turning, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
I John 5:6-8 NKJV
This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.
"The Holy Spirit of God overshadowed Mary, and the virgin concieved and gave birth to Jesus the Christ. Remember that when Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, that was the same Holy Spirit that descended upon Him as a dove when He was baptized by John."
Mark 12:29-31
Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
"He came by water and blood, speaking not only that He was born as a man, because in child birth there are both water and blood; but He also came by the Spirit, meaning He was conceived by the Spirit of the Living God."
Philippians 2:5-11
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
"When Jesus was crucified, His blood was poured out for the sins of the whole world, and the blood of this new covenant speaks of better things than the blood of Abel who was faithful to the Lord. After He willingly committed and gave up His Spirit to God, soldiers came and removed His body from the cross. When they did so they did not break any of His bones, this fulfilled the prophecy spoken of Him below. One of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and in doing so blood and water were poured out. Remember 1 John 5:8 above."
Let's look at some prophecies that spoke of these beautiful things that would take place when Our Lord offered His body on the cross.
This fulfilled several prophecies, including:
Speaking of the Passover Lamb, that was to be without spot or blemish. Jesus, the resurrected Messiah of Israel is our Passover Lamb.
Exodus 12:46
In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not carry any of the flesh outside the house, nor shall you break one of its bones.
Numbers 9:12
They shall leave none of it until morning, nor break one of its bones. According to all the ordinances of the Passover they shall keep it.
Psalm 34:20
He guards all his bones;
Not one of them is broken.
John 19:31-37
31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”
"The Father is Spirit and He lives in glory, the Word is Jesus the Son of God, He is enthroned at the right hand of God. This prophecy below will be fulfilled when He returns to this earth as Conquering KIng."
Revelation 19:11-16
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
"You should remember this instance in the old testament where the Spirit of God in the person of Jehovah appeared wrapped in a pillar of a cloud. He appeared here to Moses, who was counted as faithful in all of His House."
Numbers 12:12-16
Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. So they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it. (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!” So the three came out. Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward. Then He said,
“Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?”
So the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed. And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper. So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb!”
So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray!”
Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.” So Miriam was shut out of the camp seven days, and the people did not journey till Miriam was brought in again. And afterward the people moved from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.
Hebrews 3:5-6
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
1st Corinthians 15:46-49
However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.
"Just as we have bore the image of the man of dust, Adam, who was created in the image of God, we shall also be resurrected in the likeness of the heavenly Man who is The Lord Jesus Christ, at His return."
1st Corinthians 15:50-54
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
"This again is speaking to the saints of the Most High God being clothed in the likeness of Jesus the only begotten Son of God; clothed in the likeness of His glorious body. He is the Faithful Witness, the Chief Apostle of our Confession, and the High Priest after the after the order of Melchizedek."
1 John 3:1-3 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
"The last trumpet spoken of in 1st Corinthians 15:52 is speaking of the seventh trumpet in the passage of Revelation below. The trumpet is really a shofar."
Revelation 11:15-19
Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying:
“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
1st Corinthians 15:55-58
“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
"Here the Lord Jesus Christ testifies of Himself:"
Revelation 22:13-16
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
“No one who is living a lie, and walking in unrighteousness will enter into eternal glory."
Matthew 6:25-27
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
"Remember, He has placed the sins of those who love and fear Him as far as the east is from the west. It is wise to fear God, because He alone can cast a man’s soul into Hell.”
Proverbs 29:25
The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
Matthew 10:27-33
“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Psalm 103
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
Genesis 5:25-31
When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he fathered Lamech.
Methuselah lived after he fathered Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters.
Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.
When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.” Lamech lived after he fathered Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died. After Noah was 500 years old, Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
“I have confessed my sin to the Lord, and He has heard my cry!”
“If you would like to know the Living Hope of Noah call out to the Lord Jesus Christ. Turn from your sin and believe that He died on the cross, He was buried and He rose again the third day. He appeared to over 40 witnesses, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God.
He loves you, and if you are far from Him, He is calling you to turn from your foolishness and enter into fellowship with Him. If you have believed in His Name, I would encourage you to be baptized in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Spirit.
If you have strayed from the Truth, turn back to Him. He is merciful, full of compassion, and the God of all grace. He destroys the wicked and rebellious. His Word is sown in peace by those who make peace. If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you.
All who desires to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will face persecution. A person can only be godly by believing that Jesus is the Son of God. He is risen from the dead, do not deny the power He has freely given those that believe on His Name.
There is no joy comparable to walking with Him, this world is quickly passing away as are the lusts thereof.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death, and eternal destruction. Only Jesus the Son of God was born of a virgin. He is our Living Hope. He alone can grant a person eternal life.”
Be noble, be a Berean. Look into the scriptures, and cling to His Word. Hold fast to what is good.
Acts 17:11-12
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.
This is speaking of the Christian Bible. Have faith like a child and believe in His Word.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
