Unlocking Divine Wisdom: A Journey Through God's Word
Updated: 3 days ago
As we journey through life, we often seek wisdom and guidance to navigate its complexities. For many, turning to God's Word is a source of solace, comfort, and divine wisdom. The sacred texts, also known as books, letters, and epistles within the Christian Bible, offer a blueprint for living a purposeful and fulfilling life, filled with love, compassion, and understanding, but remember you must love and be loved by Him. It's only His Holy Spirit that enables this.
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."
“Let’s begin today with a song of praise to our Lord of lords and King of kings, who is enthroned in glory. One day He will be seated on mount Zion in Jerusalem, that is at this time the old City of David, and He will continue to testify that He is the Light of the World! Did you know that it was in God’s heart before the foundation of the world to blot out your sin with His own precious blood? (Psalm 136)”
Psalm 121
1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore
Genesis 1:5
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
“God created all things. Jesus, the Son of God, is the First Adam, and He is also the Last Adam. He is a life giving spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45; John 6:57-58; John 5:21; Romans 5:14-15) and when you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you become a new creation in Christ, a son of the living God, an heir and co-heir with Christ. He empowers those who love Him to obey His commandments. They are not burdensome.”
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
1 Corinthians 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
“The First Man Adam can be compared to Jesus, the Son of God. Jesus is Lord. He walked amongst Adam and Eve in paradise. The Last Man Adam can also be compared to Jesus who is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow."
James 1:12-20
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
God is Spirit and who ever worships Him must worship Him in Spirit and Truth. In the New Jerusalem, the Lamb will be its Light. He is good, I love Him.
1 John 5:6-21
6 This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. 9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
16 If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God[a] will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.
18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
John 21:15-18
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
"God loves His chosen people, Israel, and those who love Him, who are gentiles, are grafted in. I am just a gentile by flesh, I was born without hope and alienated from the promises of God, don't boast against those that are Jewish according to the flesh. (Romans 11)”
"Here are some words written by Paul, one of great apostles of the faith. Even He said we preach Christ and Him crucified. He was saved and set apart by Christ as were all of the other great people of faith, meaning that if Paul, Peter or Appolos were crucified in place of Our Lord Jesus Christ our faith would be in vain. It is only Jesus the Son of God that can present anyone before God as blameless and without sin."
Romans 9:3-5
3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, 4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.
See Jesus’ words here: John 15:12-19 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
“God’s nature is spoken of throughout the Bible, spend time with Him in His Word and you will Abide in Him. Remember you don’t need to wrestle with His Word, continue to learn from Him with faith like a child. In Him is Life, His Word is Life. This is no new teaching, or strange wind, learn from Him. When a man believes in Him and abides in His Word and His Word abides in Him that person is sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise. He promises He will never leave you, nor forsake you. He will be with you always, even until the end of the age. He will lead you into all truth.”
Here is one of many many prophecies in His Word that testify of His virgin birth.
Micah 5:2, Matthew 2:6
“’But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”
Here’s a portion of the first hand eye-witness account written by Jesus’ disciple Luke:
Luke 2:21-33
21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Jesus, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. 22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; 23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) 24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. 25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. 33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
The law of Moses is perfect, righteous and testifies to His goodness, it also testifies to the sin of those that don't believe, and He did as well in the beginning; we’ll get to that later. Because of Jesus’ perfect obedience to the law you can have fellowship with Him, remember He is a prophet like unto like Moses, but so much more than a prophet:
Hebrews 3:1-2 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, 2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.
And He is of a far superior covenant.
Matthew 5:14-19 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
“All men are born under the law, but remember Jesus the Son of God was born of a virgin. His Word is beautiful, spending time with Him is always a joy. You can spend time in His Word, you can spend time with other believers, and remember, it’s best to spend time in fellowship, using your gifts, at a place of worship where things are in order according to His Word. When you believed in Him, you were clothed in His righteousness, and as long as you are in this body there is joyful work while resting in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:1-10)”
Let’s remember a few things. After Jesus joyfully gave His life on the cross (Hebrews 12:1-3), was buried and rose again from the dead on the third day, He appeared to over 40 witnesses and ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God. An interesting thought is that Jesus is the Right Hand of God. The same faith that was given freely to those marvelous men and women referenced in Hebrews chapter 11 was given to you freely when you first believed.
This is spoken of briefly in the verses below. Let’s think on a few things. The law is beautiful because it foreshadows future events. Yes, He is coming back for His bride, and there will be wrath and judgement towards those that don’t believe. There even is now, but let’s look at some good things relating to the sure and steadfast unshakable hope we have in Him.
Hebrews 9:11-28
11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.” 21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
Jesus is the Light of the world, and those who love Him will shine like lights in this world. Israel is and was a light to the nations, because of Jesus. Don’t you think His Hebrew name transliterated to English, Y’shua, is beautiful (Zechariah 6:12)?
Zechariah 6:11-12
11 Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord:
John 2:18-22
18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?”
19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20 Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”
21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this [a]to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
Zechariah 6:13-15
13 Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
14 And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord.
15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the Lord, and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.
His promises to Abraham, are how we understand election. Won’t it be amazing being near Him as He rules and reigns on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, within the nation of Israel? In my native tongue we refer to that as the middle east, but I like to think of it as the center of creation. You know, Jesus mentions the word ‘repent’ many times in the book of Revelation. Remember God cannot lie and His Word is perfect. Those who believe are perfect in His sight, have the Mind of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:10-16). No one is justified through obedience to any part of the law of Moses. Those things are a shadow of beautiful things to come. Acquiring knowledge of the law can be profitable when you understand it’s all about Him (John 5). Understanding the law is profitable when you know Him.
Romans 13:8-14 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Romans 14
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. Let not then your good be evil spoken of: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
“Remember, love Jesus and He will work all these things out in your life. Men are not justified before God, by meat or drink, meaning by what they eat. It is not what a man eats that defiles him, but it is what proceeds from a man’s mouth, his words. From the abundance of the heart the lips speak. Walk in forgiveness.”
Genesis 2
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,
5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
“The book of Ecclesiastes is very beautiful. Solomon, had great wisdom and his wealth foreshadows the wealth and glory of God’s kingdom on earth during the regeneration when the Lord Our Righteousness, Jesus the Son of God, will reign as the conquering King and Priest, Lord of lords and King of kings. I am looking forward to that day!”
Genesis 2:9-17
9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
“God loves man, whom He created in His own image and likeness, and He warned them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good an evil because He did not want them to enter into sin, and toil, grief and eventually death. Those who put their faith in Jesus, will live even though they die.” (John 11:19-28)
Genesis 2:18-23
18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
“Surely Adam was in the presence of God when he slept, similar to the being with the Lord Our Righteousness in the New Jerusalem.” Let’s take a look at Paul’s words to the church in Galatia:
Galatians 4:13-31 through 5:1-6
You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first. And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. What then was the blessing you enjoyed? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me. Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth? They zealously court you, but for no good; yes, they want to exclude you, that you may be zealous for them. But it is good to be zealous in a good thing always, and not only when I am present with you. My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, I would like to be present with you now and to change my tone; for I have doubts about you. Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar— for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children— but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. For it is written:
“Rejoice, O barren, You who do not bear! Break forth and shout, You who are not in labor! For the desolate has many more children Than she who has a husband.”
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.”
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
I thoroughly long to be welcomed in, to eternal glory and a more perfect fellowship with Him.
1 Peter 4:1-10
4 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
When you believe in Jesus the Son of God and the Son of Man, you are welcomed in. His promises are secure and steadfast.
Song of Solomon 2b For your love is better than wine.
“Becoming a new creation in Christ and being clothed in His Righteousness, what could be better than that? Entering into eternal glory with Him in the New Jerusalem."
Proverbs 3:9-10
9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
John 2:12-25
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
Solomon 3a Because of the fragrance of of your good ointments (Luke 7:36-39) Therefore the virgins love you. Draw me away!
“Those who love Him do not make their home in this life.”
(Hebrews 11, Romans 3:1-20, Psalm 49, Psalm 113)
Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Psalm 133)
“The wise men brought gifts to Jesus; gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Gold was brought to Him because they knew He is and was the King of kings, and Lord of lords, myrrh was brought to Him because they knew He would be anointed for burial, and frankincense was brought to Him because they knew He is a priest, (You know, they might have known He was and is a Priest after the order of Melchizedek). They used what the Lord had given them and they blessed Him as faithful stewards with their treasures. The proverbs of Solomon mention that wisdom is more valuable than riches. There is nothing better than drawing near and close to Him, through loving and obeying Him.
Jude 1:20-25
20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
22 Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. 24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
“Remember, Jesus, the Son of God, He is the kinsman redeemer of all who believe in His Name.”
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
“Just like Adam named his wife, Eve, the Lord will give those who love Him a new name.”
Matthew 3:4-17
“All who love Jesus will be empowered through His Holy Spirit to obey Him and will be conformed into His image. (Romans 8:23-33) A person is transformed upon belief in Him. He calls all people to repent of their sin, and He used His servant John of whom there was no prophet like him before, who was born of the seed of the natural man, Adam; meaning He was born before Jesus, the Son of God’s death, burial, and resurrection. And John, Jesus’ cousin was also born of the tribe, or lineage of Levi. His father, Zacharias, was the high priest in Israel. That was beyond a tremendous honor, it’s amazing how they were blameless walking according to God’s commandments and ordinances. (Luke 1:6-25) God’s Word is beautiful. John’s food was locust and wild honey, God’s Word is sweeter than honey. Here’s a beautiful prophecy about the Messiah of Israel, who is the Redeemer of all who believe.
Isaiah 7:13-16 Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. 15 He will be eating curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, 16 for before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.
It seems to me that as John ate locusts, God’s Spirit, may have been using this, as a prophecy to show that Jesus would take upon Himself the wrath of God or the curse, similar to when He drank of the cup of judgement (Jeremiah 25:15-38) when He was crucified (1 John 1-2). Wild honey could have also been a hint that salvation would come to the gentiles. He is beautiful!”
God calls people to repent and believe in Jesus, to escape slavery to sin, to escape slavery to death, to escape the cup of God’s judgement and eternal damnation in the lake of fire. Don’t you realize that He does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked?
Here are some of Jesus’ words:
Revelation 21:1-81
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
John 15
Worship Jesus. Yes, He loves you. Jesus is Lord! Being made like Him through suffering and knowing Him and the power of His resurrection is a joy. There is nothing better than obeying Him.
Revelation 2:12-17
12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Genesis 2:24-25
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.“He walked amongst Adam and Eve in the cool of day.
Genesis 3
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
“Satan, the deceiver of old, is the father of lies, he masquerades as an angel of light, and some of his children do as well."
1 Corinthians 11:13-15
I used to be very interested in lies and I practiced sorcery divination, and idolatry even after I knew of the truth. These things are sin, and yes they too will destroy a person’s life. Only Jesus, the Son of God, and the Son of Man, the Holy and Righteous King has the power to set a person free from the law of sin and death, and captivity to, the wicked one, Satan. Why would you want to die in your sin, or continue in sin?
Walk with Jesus and worship Him alone, look to His Word, the Bible, for guidance and surely you will be much greater in the kingdom of heaven than I.
Satan came to steal, kill and destroy (John 8: 39-51), he was a murderer from the beginning, and he lied to Eve. Only a fool would want to worship him. What would it profit a man to gain the whole world, in exchange for his soul or what would a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mark 8:34-38
34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Jesus commanded us to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him. Continue in obedience to God’s Word, the Bible.
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
“She should have never considered any of his lies, and she should have turned and walked away, but God showed her mercy through child birth and it was a means of salvation. Isn’t His mercy beautiful?”
Turn from your sin and believe in Him! Jesus, the Son of God and the Son of Man; died on the cross, was buried and rose again from the dead the third day. He ascended into heaven and He is seated at the right hand of God.
Remember, Our Great God and Savior, holds the time and seasons in his right hand. He loves you; and if you are far from Him, He’s welcoming you home, back into fellowship with Him.
