You might be able to relate to this...
5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
6 And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
8 And David was displeased, because the Lord had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
9 And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and said, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?
10 So David would not remove the ark of the Lord unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
11 And the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household.
12 And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
"I am thankful that God is merciful. Uzzah touched the ark in error, and the Lord took Him out. This displeased David and He was upset even with the Lord. David knew that the LORD of hosts sees all things and he feared Him and maybe he didn't know what to do. I am not sure to be honest, but I love that that about him. He put the ark somewhere else out of fear and then when there was a blessing he was like Ok, we're all good now, the LORD will bless us and show us His goodness and He just went out rejoicing and no one could stop him. He was the king after all."
"Let's remember that David served the one and only Living God. The Lord of lords and the King of kings, the Messiah of Israel, who is Jesus the Son of God. David was a man after God's own heart. He's very merciful. God keeps His promises. Remember that!"
There's nothing like God's Word, nothing will ever come close. So often I have to return to God's Word and plead for mercy on my own life and I remember great men like Moses and Daniel who pleaded for the sake of their people or those for whom the Lord gave them responsibility. Moses prayed that God would not blot His peoples names out of His book of Life, and the Lord of Hosts who is all powerfull who lead the children of Israel in a pillar of fire by night and cloud by day honored that. We have one much greater than Moses, He is Jesus the chief apostle of our faith. He hears your prayers because He bought you with the price of His own blood. He doesn't take pleasure in wickedness or the death of the wicked. He desires all men to come to repentance, but there will be a day of reckoning when you die or when He returns. Are you going to justified by your own works which are a pile of rubbish, or are you going to be found in Him? He's the only one that can break the seals to pour out wrath that is well deserved on those that hate Him and His Word. Look to His Word, and ask that He would help you to love Him. His commandments are not burdensome. His love is perfect, and you need His Holy Spirit, His own Spirit, to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and live soberly before Him with a clear mind, and clean undefiled conscience. Remember those that are chained for the sake of Christ and intercede on their behalf for Him.
Joy comes in the morning!! There are some out there that are so persecuted that their joy will not be fillfilled until they enter into the wedding feast, the passover celebration with Him. The theif on the cross comes to mind here, and he was on the cross because of his crimes. There are believers that are chained for righteousness sake. Pray for them. Don't you love Jesus?
Luke 23:39-56
39 One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” 40 But the other responded, and rebuking him, said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our crimes; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
44 It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the entire land until the ninth hour, 45 because the sun stopped shining; and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died. 47 Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he began praising God, saying, “This man was in fact innocent.” 48 And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, after watching what had happened, began to return home, beating their chests. 49 And all His acquaintances and the women who accompanied Him from Galilee were standing at a distance, seeing these things.
50 And a man named Joseph, who was a member of the Council, a good and righteous man 51 (he had not consented to their plan and action), a man from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who was waiting for the kingdom of God— 52 this man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53 And he took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever lain. 54 It was a preparation day, and a Sabbath was about to begin. 55 Now the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how His body was laid. 56 And then they returned and prepared spices and perfumes.
And on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
I still fear God. If you know that you are unworthy to stand before the righteous judge of the universe when you die or when He returns, repent of your sin and call out to Him.
If you have strayed from the Truth look to Him and ask for mercy. His love is clearly manifest in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. He who knew no sin became sin for us that we might inherit the righteousness of God. Look to Him who is the source of all things. It's Him alone that can grant you eternal life. There's none like Him. He is the chief corner stone and He is precious in our eyes. He's enthroned at the right hand of God. He sees and knows all things.
Look at these glorious words regarding the Messiah of Israel. He loves Israel with an undying love. The apostle Paul who called himself lesser wished that his name could be blotted out for their sake. They are special.
Isaiah 11:1-5
Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him,
The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3 And He will delight in the fear of the Lord,
And He will not judge by what His eyes see,
Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;
4 But with righteousness He will judge the poor,
And decide with fairness for the humble of the earth;
And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
5 Also righteousness will be the belt around His hips,
And faithfulness the belt around His waist.
There's an opportunity for those who love Him to reign with Him. Here's more Hope. Jesus the Messiah of Israel is the Hope of Glory. He is the ressurection and the Life and those who believe in Him will live even though they die. Don't you want to enter into the New Jerusalem? He will never leave you nor forsake you, He will be with you always, even until the end of the age. Those who love money, or the unrighteous temporary pleasures of this life will not enter into eternal glory. There are some like Judas, who betrayed Jesus and it is better that they had never been born. That is why Paul said with weeping, not all men have faith. Remember His love, God is love and love is pure, spotless and righteous. Jesus is the passover lamb. Rejoice in Him!
Revelation 22:22-27
22 I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its [r]temple. 23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth [s]will bring their glory into it. 25 In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; 26 and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; 27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those [t]whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
